Our Story

Canadian Expertise, Global Strength

Soletanche Bachy Canada was formed through the integration of two long-standing Canadian foundation specialists: AGRA Foundations and Bermingham Foundation Solutions. Together, they brought decades of hands-on experience delivering foundations, shoring, and geotechnical solutions across diverse Canadian ground conditions.

We work in challenging soil conditions where safety, reliability, and technical precision are essential. Our extensive experience in Canada, combined with international technical expertise, allows us to deliver reliable solutions in the most demanding environments.

Bermingham Foundation Solutions also developed Berminghammer Foundation Equipment, a recognized leader in foundation equipment manufacturing. Today, Berminghammer operates as our in-house foundation equipment specialist, giving our teams direct access to purpose-built piling and drilling equipment shaped by real construction experience.

Bermingham Construction Founded

Founded in Ontario by William Bermingham, later bringing the first diesel hammer to North America and developing the world-renowned Berminghammer equipment line.

1956

AGRA Foundations Established

Established in Saskatchewan as Western Boring and Foundations by civil engineer Ben Torchinsky, rapidly expanding throughout North America.

2010

Joined Soletanche Bachy Group

AGRA and Bermingham joined the Soletanche Bachy group of companies, a world leader in foundations and underground specialty works.

2019

SBC Formed

Soletanche Bachy Canada Inc was formed through the amalgamation of AGRA Foundations and Bermingham Foundation Solutions.
